
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Grace Apostolic Church at 1 pm with visitation starting at noon.
Clarence Edward Johnson was born December 2, 1929 in Burlinson, Tennessee to Mr. Roy E. and Rosebud Johnson.
Clarence lived in Burlison until he was 14 years old and the family moved to Ft. Wayne. He enlisted in the US navy in 1948 and served 20 years and also became a Chief Petty Officer. He retired in San Diego, California in 1968. He then worked as a general foreman at General Dynamics where he built ships. He also retired from there. He was also a Vietnam Veteran and rode numerous ships, too many to recall. Clarence lived in California until he returned to Indiana in 2003 where he moved to Fisher with his wife, Renee White Johnson and has lived since. C.J. was a lover of his family and he also was a lover of the word of God where he read many nights. He was a man of faith and loved to pray. He was also the oldest living Johnson. He was baptized in Jesus’ name in Ft. Wayne at Christ Temple under the leadership of Elder Jones. Clarence will be greatly missed.
Clarence leaves to mourn: his wife, Renee (White) Johnson, of Fishers, Indiana; 2 children, son, LeEdward Johnson [Leslie] of San Diego, California and daughter Pamela Johnson of Indianapolis, Indiana; 3 children in love, 2 sons Ronald J. Bryant Sr. (Jamie) of Morgan Hill, California, and Warren Cedric (Crystal) of Fresno, California, Sessely Renell Jackson of Hemmitt, California; 4 brothers, Rozzell Johnson (who preceded him in death) Archie F. Johnson of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Leroy S. Johnson of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Eddie H. Johnson of Ft. Wayne; 3 sisters, Gwendolyn Eunice Brooks of Ft. Wayne, Beatrice O. (Johnson) Mitchell of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Rosebud (Johnson) Ellis ( who preceded him in death ) ;10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
